Galápagos Petrel Project

THE ONLY SEABIRD THAT NESTS IN THE HIGHLANDS  AND THE TRAVELLER WHO HELPS IT SURVIVE

The Galápagos Petrel digs its burrows into the walls of ravines and collapsed lava tunnels in the farming zone. Introduced rats, feral cats and wild pigs raid the nests, and invasive blackberry seals the entrances shut. Visitors monitor real nests, set or retrieve traps and bait, and see exactly where the money goes.
